Take one–blogging.  Why did I decide to start a blog?  Well, lately I’ve been inspired and motivated by serveral health blogs.   One of my best friends is getting in shape for her wedding and calls these blogs her new “facebook.”  These blogs show pictures and provide recipes of all their meals, what they did for their workout, and any fun tid bits that give each blog its distinct personality.   I don’t know why I find so much fascination in looking at pictures of a person’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner–but I do!  Oh, one of my passions is food.  But not just any food–wholesome, good for your body food!  These are also women who, in the craziness and business of life, strive to listen to their bodies and use health as a way to strengthen them through each day.  Their health brings joy to a marriage or motivation to write a book.  These blogs also share stories–why health might have been tough at first after overcoming an eating disorder or being overweight.  These women are searching for a sense of peace and happiness in their lives!  Most of them seem to have found it–so now they have decided to share that inspiring journey.  However, each day will always bring something different that might threaten this peace–it’s working through each day and finding RENEWAL through their passions that make them who they are.

So…these women have inspired me to also start a blog.  Sometimes I feel like I’m so blessed, and I really, really want to share it with others!  I don’t know who will read this, but writing is good for the soul!  I love to write too, so it’s all good 🙂

My goals for this blog…to keep myself accountable!  I’m passionate about keeping my body healthy, but it’s not always easy to do when life changes constantly, so I want to remind myself that I can do it!  I can balance this life!  It’s about RENEWING myself every day….

Renewing myself in God.

Renewing myself in foods.

Renewing myself in exercise (especially running!).

Renewing myself in my husband.

Renewing myself in my friends.

Renewing myself in writing.

While these things may make me happy, I understand that I cannot do any of this on my own.  Feeling beautiful every day…not so easy, but–God says I’m beautiful every day!  It is in HIM that I have strength to continue to be the person I know I can be and desire to be.  This blog is a reflection of this journey with God…every day He renews me…every day is a new day!

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will RENEW their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  -Isaiah 40:30-31
